Founder's Bio
An accomplished executive with a diverse background spanning several decades, he has consistently demonstrated a knack for innovation and leadership across a range of industries.
He has a track record of over 5 years as Acting CEO and CTO at Alterna Card Services, where he has played a pivotal role in a Fintech and Financial Services company that specializes in cross-border programs aimed at providing financial inclusion for immigrants and underserved communities in the US and Latin American countries. His responsibilities encompass the development and implementation of products and services in collaboration with third-party processors, issuing banks, and other contracted service providers.
Before his current role, he founded and currently manages P4M Global, where he offers IT, Management and Fintech consulting services providing executive assistance to companies in a variety of business areas.
Prior to this, he had the privilege of leading South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA)/Miami-Dade Broadband Coalition (MDBC), a unique collaboration of South Florida leaders and institutions aimed at bridging the digital divide and deploying advanced broadband technology. During his tenure, he successfully managed a comprehensive network that connected community institutions and provided broadband services to various sectors, including public organizations, private enterprises, and underserved communities.
One of the milestones in his career was the establishment and leadership of Power2Process (P2P), a financial processor specializing in prepaid debit cards and financial transactions. Notably, he pioneered features to support direct remittances from prepaid cards in the US to accounts in other countries, achieving PCI level 1 and SAS 70 (SSAE-16) certifications. Under his guidance, P2P became a registered Third Party Processor (TPP) with MasterCard and operated on MasterCard and STAR (First Data) networks.
At Gotham Financial, he served as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and was a key technical reference during the company’s inception. He was instrumental in creating innovative financial services to facilitate the use of debit cards for cross-border remittances and bill payments.
In his role as CTO at Globetel Communications Corp, he assessed the company’s management in the implementation of new services and acquisitions of technology operations. He was involved in the incorporation of two new business units in the areas of Financial Processing and Wireless Networks, and supervised various technology development teams.
He co-founded and served as CEO of Suprem Telecom Solutions and Linkser Wireless Telecom, companies specializing in engineering, integration, and operation of wireless wide area networks for data and voice. His accomplishments included building networks to provide wireless Internet access to corporate users in multiple countries.
At AmericasCom International Inc., he played a key role in the creation of a licensed International Telephone Service Carrier. His responsibilities included serving as CTO, system design, integration, and operations management for two main network nodes in Caracas and Miami.
Before his entrepreneurial ventures, he held various management positions at a multinational holding group, including project management of complex communication systems, heading the Communications Group within the Electronic System Division, and serving as Chief Technical Director.
Previously, worked as a system operator at IBM, where he gained experience in mainframe operation and programming.
